~ Inspiration culled from a variety of places in my daily life ~

She was literally my sister, figuratively my mother, and always my best friend.
"The Markeeds": My sister Margaret was the lead singer of this group back in the 50s. She sang with our cousin Frank (to her left) all over Northern New Jersey (to the best of my knowledge). "The Markeeds" won several talent contests which led to this very special appearance on "The Ted Mack Amateur Hour," the "American Idol" of its day.
